The crew of the USS Enterprise-D are ordered to the Jarada homeworld to begin tentative diplomatic relations with the reclusive species. The Jarada begin by encouraging an away team to visit the surface. However, as soon as the away team reach the surface, the Jarada change their posture, cut off all communications from and to the ship, and begin attacking the Enterprise. It's up to Captain Picard to save the lives of the away team before its too late...
