J.P. Hubbell is an actor who appeared as a Starfleet ensign in the Star Trek: The Next Generation sixth season episode "Man Of The People".

Hubbell is the brother of actor Andy Hubbell. He is perhaps best known for his recurring role in the television series ER, where he played the EMT Lars Audia in fifteen episodes between 1997 and 1999 and appeared alongside fellow series regulars Lily Mariye, Ted Rooney, Kirsten Dunst, Christine Harnos, and Clancy Brown.

Other television series Hubbell has appeared in include Growing Pains (1990, with Jennifer Nash), Babylon 5 (1997, with Bill Mumy, Patricia Tallman, Andreas Katsulas, Bruce Gray, Marjorie Monaghan, and Musetta Vander), The West Wing (2002-2003, with Thomas Kopache), Passions (2003, with Gary Weeks), Cold Case (2004, with John Kassir), and CSI: Miami (2006 and 2010, with David Lee Smith in the first episode).

Hubbell has also acted in several films such as the television film For the Very First Time (1991, with Mädchen Amick and Cristine Rose), Loaded Weapon 1 (1993, with William Shatner, James Doohan, F. Murray Abraham, Charles Napier, and Whoopi Goldberg), Mirror Images 2 (1994), and Storm (1999, with Mark Chaet and Christopher Michael).

More recently, Hubbell appeared in episodes of NCIS (2010, with Sam Anderson, Kristen Ariza, and Tracy Middendorf) and Shameless (2012, with Dennis Cockrum and Diora Baird).
