Jack Palance was a 20th century actor on Earth. In 1953, he co-starred as the character Jack Wilson in the American Western film Shane.

Nog witnessed Palance's performance as Jack Wilson when the Ferengi viewed Shane while staying with Vic Fontaine on Deep Space 9's holosuite. (DS9: "It's Only a Paper Moon")
