She attended the New York University's Film School and studied screenwriting and directing. After she moved to Los Angeles, she studied acting two years under Joanne Baron. In addition to her acting career she continued modeling which she started at the age of 14 in Hawaii.
Hubbard played supporting roles in the film ''The Hitch-Hikers'' (1989) and the television film ''Rosemary'' (1992, with [[Marc Alaimo]] and [[Time Winters]]).
