Tristan Adams

As Tristan Adams.

James Gregory was born in 1911. By 1935, he had turned an acting hobby into a career, and with 1939's Key Largo, he moved to Broadway, where he would act in numerous productions for the next sixteen years. Around 1955, he moved from stage to television and film, ultimately appearing in four regular television series roles, about fifty movies (including a role as General Ursus in Beneath the Planet of the Apes), and well over a hundred television guest appearances. One of his television series roles, irascible Inspector Luger on the ABC TV comedy Barney Miller, became a defining role. He retired from acting around 1987 and died of natural causes in 2002, a few months shy of his ninety-first birthday.

Signature Quote
