Template:Realworld James Horan (born 14 December 1954; age 69) is an American actor who has appeared on all of the Star Trek spinoffs.
In both of his appearances on Star Trek: The Next Generation he played characters (Jo'Bril in "Suspicions" and Lieutenant Barnaby in "Descent, Part II") on spacecraft that because of special shielding survived being inside a star's corona.
Horan is a veteran television soap opera actor, having starred in Guiding Light (1981), Another World (1981-82), General Hospital, All My Children, and The Young and the Restless (1998).
He is also well-known for his guest appearance on the hit science fiction TV series Highlander, as the evil Immortal named Grayson in the first season episode entitled "Band of Brothers" (1993). He also had a recurring role on TV's Zorro (1992), starring Duncan Regehr. He has also made guest appearances on Baywatch, Melrose Place, Walker, Texas Ranger (with Noble Willingham), Charmed, and Lost.
In 1994, he co-starred with Louise Fletcher in the made-for-TV movie The Haunting of Seacliff Inn.
His film credits include Chattanooga Choo Choo (with Christopher McDonald, Davis Roberts, and Bill Zuckert), Scanner Cop (1994, with Mark Rolston), Counter Measures (1999, with Scott Marlowe), and the epic Gods and Generals (2003, with Kevin Conway, Robert Easton, W. Morgan Sheppard, and Andrew Prine).
Currently, he mostly supplies voices for video games, including Star Trek: Klingon Academy, Ghost Recon, Star Trek: Starfleet Command III, Freelancer, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Everquest II.
