Jareb was a Triannon and a member of a religious zealot group led by Pri'Nam D'Jamat.

His faction was involved in a religious civil war for many years on his race's homeworld. In 2153, he helped D'Jamat take over the Enterprise in order to use it against the opposing faction in the civil war in 2153.

Jareb, like the others in his faction, had organic explosives implanted within him and was willing to blow himself up and damage the Enterprise at D'Jamat's command if Captain Archer did not cooperate with them. The explosives were neutralized by Dr. Phlox and the ship was reclaimed by Archer and his crew. (ENT: "Chosen Realm")
