Alexander Jay Caputo is a stuntman and stunt actor who performed stunts in Star Trek Generations, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Star Trek: Voyager. He received no credit for his television work.

Caputo is the brother of stuntwoman and stunt actress Jennifer Caputo and is specialized in gymnastic, ratchet, and wire stunts. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota, was chosen for the 1992 Gymnastic Olympic trials, and earned several medals and awards on many sport festivals. In 2001 he has founded the production company "Monkey Dream Films" which primarily produces short films.

In 2004 he has been nominated for four Taurus World Stunt Awards: for best high work and for best work with a vehicle in Monkeybone, for best stunt by a stunt man for The Animal, and for best specialty stunt for Swordfish (with fellow stunt performers Chris Palermo, Tim Rigby, and Frank Lloyd).

Caputo has doubled for stars such as David Faustino and Chris Kattan.

Among his stunt resume are films such as Inner Sanctum (1991, with Valerie Wildman), Forrest Gump (1994), Congo (1995), Space Jam (1996), Spawn (1997, with Melinda Clarke, Kerry Hoyt, Caroline Gibson, Stewart Lew, and Frank Welker), Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997, with Clint Howard, Brian George, Robin Gammell, and stunts by Kim Koscki, Anita Hart, and Patricia Tallman), Batman & Robin (1997, with John Glover, Steve Blalock, Mark Chadwick, Paul Sklar, and stunts by Dana Hee, Spice Williams-Crosby, Shawn Crowder, Scott Workman, Peewee Piemonte, and Todd Bryant), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999, with Jack Kehler, Clint Howard, Charles Napier, Tony Jay, and stunts by Patricia Tallman, Kim Koscki, Monica Staggs, Lynn Salvatori, Joey Box, and Jennifer Caputo), The Green Mile (1999, with James Cromwell), Planet of the Apes (2001, with David Warner, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Eileen Weisinger, Kevin Grevioux, Erick Avari, Michael Jace, Todd Babcock, and Dragon Dronet), Swordfish (2001), Ultraviolet (2006, with Jennifer Caputo and Thom Williams), and the first two Pirates of the Caribbean films (2003 and 2006, with Tom Morga).

He also appeared in several television series such as Married with Children, Nash Bridges, Pacific Blue, The X-Files (2000 and 2001, with Gene Dynarski, Zach Grenier, and James Otis), and Ally McBeal.

Caputo was the stunt coordinator, a stunt performer and a co-producer on the hit reality shows Fear Factor (2001-2006) and Dog Eat Dog (2002-2003).
