Karen Loews

...as Lieutenant Karen Loews, Starfleet psychiatrist.

Jeannetta Arnette (born 29 July 1954; age 69), sometimes credited as Jeanetta Arnette, is the actress who played Doctor Karen Loews in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Statistical Probabilities". She is perhaps best known for her role as Bernadette Meara in all five seasons of the television series Head of the Class.

In 1979, she and TNG star Denise Crosby had small roles as party guests in the film 10. (The film also featured John Hancock, Michael Champion, Lisa Chess and William Lucking). A year prior, she starred in the horror movie The Redeemer: Son of Satan!, in which DS9 regular J.G. Hertzler also appeared.

She also had a role in the 1998 film Judas Kiss, as did Richard Riehle and William Lucking. In 2000, she co-starred with DS9's Wallace Shawn in the film The Prime Gig (also featuring Star Trek: Enterprise guest actor Pat Healy). And in 2003, both she and W. Morgan Sheppard had roles in the little-known film Florida City.

Arnette's other motion picture credits include Ladybugs (1992, with Nancy Parsons and Jandi Swanson), Boys Don't Cry (1999), and The Shipping News (2001).
