Jed Dornoff is an American make-up artist who worked for seven to eight weeks on Star Trek.

Born in Southern California and raised in various California towns and cities, Dornoff served in the US Navy before deciding to become a make-up artist. He earned an Acting Associates Degree in Long Beach before receiving his Master Makeup Artistry Certificate from the Make-Up Designory in Burbank.

Early in his professional make-up career, Dornoff worked as a key make-up/special effects artist on the short film Love Never Dies and he did make-up for the low-budget independent features You Are Here and Sacrifice. From 2004 through 2005 he was a fashion show make-up artist for MAC Cosmetics in Montclair, California.

Dornoff was ultimately hired as a make-up production assistant on the two Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, 2006's Dead Man's Chest and 2007's At World's End, working under make-up department head Ve Neill and prosthetic make-up artist Joel Harlow. He later worked with Harlow on Star Trek and with Neill on DreamWorks' upcoming biographical drama The Soloist (starring Stephen Root).

Dornoff's additional make-up credits include the recent remake of George A. Romero's Day of the Dead (starring Michael Welch) as a lab technician, the 2008 made-for-TV movie Jane Doe: Eye of the Beholder (which features John Fleck, Julianna McCarthy, Natalia Nogulich, Alan Oppenheimer, and Mark Rolston) as a make-up artist, and the drama film American Primitive (featuring James B. Sikking and Anne Elizabeth Ramsay) as key make-up artist. He more recently did make-up on an upcoming western film with William Sadler and Charles Napier entitled Shadowheart and on two entries in the Feast series of horror movies (Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds and Feast 3: The Happy Finish).

His other make-up experience includes injury simulation work for UCLA Medical Center's EMT training and for the Los Angeles Police & Fire Department's St. Metro disaster drill. He also did make-up for such short films as The Relationship Theorem and Esperanza, stage productions such as Bus Stop and Arsenic and Old Lace, and commercials for such clients as Hahm Motorsports and Alchemy Worldwide, LLC. He even did promotional make-up for Saw III at the San Diego Comic Con in 2006 and was a make-up and hair assistant for the 79th Annual Academy Awards in 2007.
