Lee and Williams' cover art

Jim Lee (born 11 August 1964; age 59) is a Korean-born comic book artist, writer, editor, and publisher.

Lee broke into the industry in the late 1980s and is best known for his work on Marvel Comics' The Uncanny X-Men and X-Men which he co-wrote with Chris Claremont and illustrated.

He was one of seven artists to leave Marvel in 1991, along with Todd McFarlane and Marc Silvestri, to form Image Comics. While there, Lee founded WildStorm Studios, which he later sold to DC Comics, but continued to run.

After leaving Image Comics, he returned to DC and worked on the Hush mini-series for the Batman title and also spent time at Marvel working on reboots for Iron Man and Fantastic Four.

Lee's first Star Trek contribution was working with Scott Williams on the cover art for WildStorm Comics' False Colors.

In 2009, Lee contributed a piece of artwork called "Enterprise 23" to QMx/Paramount Pictures' "The Enterprise Project" promotion.
