Jim Shimoda

Jim Shimoda was the assistant chief engineer aboard the USS Enterprise-D when it was first commissioned in 2364.

When the Enterprise encountered a form of polywater intoxication, Shimoda, under the influence of the intoxication, almost caused the ship to be destroyed by removing the isolinear chips that controlled the warp drives. However, the chips were replaced by Lt. Cmdr. Data, allowing drive power to be restored. (TNG: "The Naked Now")

Shimoda was played by Benjamin W.S. Lum.
