Other notable Broadway roles include George M. Cohan in 1968's George M!, Amos Hart in the 1996 revival of Chicago (with Bebe Neuwirth), and the Wizard of Oz in 2003's Wicked.

Among his many film credits are1976's The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (based on the novel by Nicholas Meyer) and 1985's Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (with Kate Mulgrew, George Coe, Jeff Allin, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Michael Pataki).

Additionally, Grey has made many television appearances over the years including recurring roles as Doc in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and as Lemuel Idzik in Oz (with Kevin Conway and Reg E. Cathey).
