Johann Gutenberg was a 15th century Human of German descent, known for his Gutenberg Bible, the first mass-produced book on Earth.

In 2269, during a visit to Holberg 917G, Captain Kirk of the Federation starship USS Enterprise and First Officer Spock discovered a Gutenberg Bible in the large art collection of the immortal Flint. (TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah")

Berlinghoff Rasmussen compared being close to Data to examining a rare Gutenberg bible. (TNG: "A Matter of Time")

It was not clear what relation, if any, Flint and Gutenberg had, though it is worth noting that Gutenberg's later years overlapped with Leonardo da Vinci's early years.
