John Ford was a 20th century Human actor, writer, producer, and director from Earth, best remembered for his western films.

Trip Tucker claimed to have seen every John Ford film when T'Pol asked him if he'd ever ridden a horse before. (ENT: "North Star")

Nog watched Ford's 1956 film The Searchers when he was living in Vic Fontaine's apartment in the Bashir 62 holosuite program. (DS9: "It's Only a Paper Moon")

John Ford directed several films starring John Wayne, who was mentioned in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Ford's film work dealt with numerous topics popular in 20th century movies, such as World War II and the Great Depression.
In his career he worked with
Star Trek alums Jeffrey Hunter, Ricardo Montalban, Irene Tsu, Charles Seel, Michael Dugan, and Paul Fix. He died August 31, 1973 in Palm Desert, California, from stomach cancer.
