John Franklyn-Robbins (born 14 December 1931; age 92) is the actor who played Macias in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Preemptive Strike".
Franklyn-Robbins is, like Simon Pegg, Alan Dale, Barrie Ingham, Daphne Ashbrook, Christopher Neame, Guy Siner, Maurice Roëves and Olaf Pooley, one of the very small number of actors to have speaking roles in both the Star Trek and Doctor Who franchises. (Gregg Palmer also appeared in both franchises but his role in Star Trek went uncredited.) Both Franklyn-Robbins and Siner appeared in the 1975 Doctor Who serial Genesis of the Daleks.
