Jon Daily was captain of the transport Astral Queen in 2266.
He owed Captain Kirk a dozen favors, so when Kirk asked him to strand the Karidian Company, he did it without question. This forced the Karidian players to seek alternate transport, which Kirk was happy to provide -- so that he could keep them close to hand while he investigated the possibility that their lead performer was a wanted criminal. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King")
The voiceover for Jon Daily was done by either Tom Curtis or Frank da Vinci.
