Jouret IV was the fourth planet in the Jouret system. It was a Class M planet and the site of the Federation colony New Providence that was destroyed by a Borg attack in 2366. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds")
The location of Jouret IV was depicted on a star chart in astrometrics on USS Voyager in 2376. (VOY: "Child's Play", "The Haunting of Deck Twelve")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pgs 61, 62, "United Federation of Planets I"), the Jouret system was located in the Beta Quadrant. This system was a single star system. Primary was a Class G star with a magnitude of +3, which was ten times the brightness of Sol. In the mid-22nd century, this system was located in or near Romulan space. After 2160, this system was in or near Federation space. Jouret IV (New Providence) was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
