Julie Newmar (born 16 August 1933; age 90) is a Los Angeles-born character actress who worked steadily from the early 1950s to the late 1980s, and less frequently thereafter. Without question, she is most famous for her role as the sultry Catwoman in the cult classic television series Batman, a role she accepted only after learning how enthusiastic her brother and his friends were about the show.
