Karen Austin (born 24 October 1954; age 69) is an actress who has appeared in both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. She played Doctor Kalandra in "Nor the Battle to the Strong" and Miral in "Barge of the Dead".
She was among the contenders for the role of Kathryn Janeway, but was beaten out by first Geneviève Bujold, then Kate Mulgrew.
She was a regular on the first season of Night Court with John Larroquette and recently played Sister Ignaious in Steven Spielberg's "Taken" series.
