Kate Asner played Nurse Bandee in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Extreme Measures".

Her father is the famous actor Ed Asner, who she has starred with on several occasions including the 1997 television movie Payback and the 2000 motion picture Bring Him Home.

She appeared in the movie Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde with TOS star Julie Cobb. In 2005, she starred with fellow DS9 guest star Jack Kehler in What's Up, Scarlet?

In the same year as her Star Trek appearance, she starred with Scott Thompson in an episode of Jesse. Kevin Rahm was a regular on the series and Michael Welch appeared in three episodes.

She guest starred in "Boy Next Door", an episode of Ally McBeal, that also starred the late Roy Brocksmith, Star Trek: Enterprise and Star Trek Nemesis star Steven Culp, fellow DS9 guest star Gina Philips, Voyager guest star Jay Karnes and Next Generation guest star Clyde Kusatsu.

Later that year, she guest-starred in an episode of Judging Amy. The episode, "You're Not the Boss of Me", also starred Voyager guest star Kat Sawyer-Young and Enterprise guest star Granville Van Dusen.

She appeared in the Malcolm in the Middle episode "Halloween Approximately" with Jack Shearer and Kevin Brief.

In 2002, she guest-starred in First Monday. Camille Saviola was a regular on the show. Bennet Guillory also appeared in several episodes.
