The Wright Flyer in Kitty Hawk
Kitty Hawk was a town in North Carolina, United States of America, on Earth. It was the site of Orville and Wilbur Wright's historic first flight in their airplane, the Wright Flyer ,in 1903.
While playing his holonovel Crisis Point II: Paradoxus in 2381, Brad Boimler, depressed over the apparent death of his transporter clone William Boimler, became obsessed with finding a mystical being called Ki-ty-ha.
After locating Ki-ty-ha and breaking inside its body in a fit of frustration, he discovered the Wrights' plane and a placard reading "Wright Flyer; Kitty Hawk, NC; 1903", with specific letters obscured by grime to form "Ki-ty-ha". Boimler was infuriated, as this plot twist made no sense. (LD: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus")
