The Klaestron Civil War was a conflict that took place among the Klaestron people in the mid-24th century. A rebel faction attempted a coup to seize control of the planet but were eventually defeated by the army and many civilians. General Ardelon Tandro was a figure-head for his forces during conflict; he was later murdered and became a martyr, this inspired his supporters to win the war. Federation ambassador Curzon Dax was assigned to mediate in the conflict. The fact that Tandro had tried to betray his army to the rebel faction was not revealed for decades.
