Klon peags were seen as sticks to Alpha Quadrant eyes, but had many uses according to the Wadi Falow. They were either highly sought after in Wadi culture, or extremely worthless. (DS9: "Move Along Home")
Judging by the grin on Falow's face when he tries to sell these to Quark in place of latinum, they are probably worth very little, as their appearance indicates.
