Koralis III was the uninhabited third planet of the Koralis system. It was the site of a mining colony and an orbital tether, but the operation had been abandoned by 2375. In that year, Kira Nerys told Laas to go to the planet, after she helped him escape Deep Space 9. Odo later met Laas on the planet. (DS9: "Chimera")

According to the script, the pronunciation for Koralis was "kuh-RAWL-uhs".

The Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47), the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385") and the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 438) located Koralis III in the Alpha Quadrant.
