Template:Realworld Actor Kurtwood Smith (born 3 July 1943; age 80) played several different roles on Star Trek, spanning a movie and two series.

He had scenes with Rene Auberjonois in both Star Trek VI and DS9's "Things Past".

He is perhaps best known as Red Forman on Fox's sitcom That 70s Show, which also stars Don Stark. He is also well known for his role as "Clarence Boddicker" in the 1987 science fiction film RoboCop (which co-starred Peter Weller, Ronny Cox, Robert DoQui, Miguel Ferrer, and Ray Wise).

Smith has had roles in several other feature films, including Dead Poets Society (1989) (with Norman Lloyd), To Die For (1995), and Girl, Interrupted (1999). The latter film also co-starred Star Trek: The Next Generation actress Whoopi Goldberg.

One of Smith's earliest films was Zoot Suit in 1981, also featuring a young Robert Beltran. Smith also appeared in the 1986 mini-series North and South, Book II, co-starring TNG's Jonathan Frakes and Voyager guest star James Read and guest-starring Jean Simmons, David Ogden Stiers, and Anthony Zerbe. He was also in the films Fortress (1993), featuring Jeffrey Combs and Tom Towles, and Broken Arrow (1996), which also featured Christian Slater, TNG guest stars Bob Gunton and Vyto Ruginis, DS9 actors Casey Biggs, James MacDonald, and Raymond Cruz, and TOS stunt actor Vince Deadrick. Lastly, he appeared in 1996's A Time to Kill, with TNG guest star Ashley Judd, and the 1998 disaster film Deep Impact (1998), with Trek actors James Cromwell and Denise Crosby.
