A kuttars is a bayonet-like blade weapon that can be affixed to the end of energy rifles for hand-to-hand combat. The Albino's troops on Secarus IV used kuttars to battle Kang, Kor, Koloth, and Jadzia Dax in 2370 after their energy weapons were rendered non-functional. (DS9: "Blood Oath")
