Template:Realworld Lance Parkin is an author who co-wrote the unauthorized reference book Beyond the Final Frontier with Mark Jones. He is more well knowing for being the author of several original novels to the Doctor Who franchise, including the critically acclaimed 1997 novel The Dying Days.

Parkin was also briefly a member of the production team for the British soap opera Emmerdale Farm in 1999, about which he later wrote a non-fiction book, and two fiction novels based on the series. In 2003, he had a comic book miniseries based on one of his characters from the Doctor Who franchise for six issues. The comic was discontinued after 2004.

He currently freelances for UK magazines, and is a column writer for a Doctor Who fanzine.
