Lanier Edwards (born 7 December 1958; age 65) is a stuntman and actor who worked as stunt photo double for Paul Winfield in some heavy moves on the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "Darmok" in 1991. Edwards filmed his scenes on second unit on Monday 5 August 1991 on location at Bronson Canyon, at the same day the production filmed scenes for the episode "Ensign Ro". Under assistant director Arlene Fukai he can be seen with Patrick Stewart's photo double Ron Large and stunt actor Rex Pierson. Edwards also appeared as a command division lieutenant in several episodes beginning with "A Matter of Time". He was also listed on the call sheets of the episode "Violations" in corridor, Ten Forward, and bridge scenes and "Ethics" in a corridor scene but was not part of the final episodes.

Edwards was born in Long Beach, California, USA and worked as stunt double for actors such as Forest Whitaker on the horror film Species (1995) and the thriller Panic Room (2002) and for LL Cool J on the horror film Deep Blue Sea (1999). Edwards also performed stunts in the thriller The Enemy Within (1994, with Tony Brubaker and Gary Epper), the drama Showgirls (1995, with Steve Blalock, Maria R. Kelly, Suzanne Rampe, and Sharon Schaffer), the crime drama Primal Fear (1996, with Noon Orsatti and Denney Pierce), the thriller Heaven's Prisoners (1996, with Jophery C. Brown, Frank Orsatti, and Gerard Williams), the science fiction film Steel (1997, with Irving E. Lewis, John Escobar, Johnny Martin, and Bob Minor), the thriller Most Wanted (1997, with Janet Brady, Rosine "Ace" Hatem, Kane Hodder, and Manny Perry), the drama The Player's Club (1998, with Bennie E. Moore, Jr. and Gerard Williams), the crime comedy Life (1999), and the crime drama Hot Boyz (2000, with Rick Avery, Jeff Cadiente, Chuck Madalone, and Spiro Razatos).
