Lawrence Pressman is an actor, born on 10 July 1939 in Kentucky. He appeared three times on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, playing three characters.

His largest role on the series was as Legate Tekeny Ghemor in Second Skin and Ties of Blood and Water. In between those episodes, he appeared as a Changeling posing as Federation Ambassador Krajensky in "The Adversary."

Outside of his DS9 roles, he was just one a few Star Trek stars to appear in "DC 9/11: Time of Crisis". He played Dick Cheney. Other Star Trek stars to appear with him include frequent DS9 guest star Gregory Itzin, Penny Johnson, who played Condoleezza Rice and Stephen Macht who played Paul Wolfowitz

He also appeared in many motion pictures such as Nine to Five, Mighty Joe Young and Dr. Dolittle 2. He played Coach Marshall in the first and last American Pie movies. In Very Bad Things, he starred with Leland Orser and Christian Slater.

Perhaps his most famous role was as Doctor Canfield in Doogie Howser, M.D., in which James Sikking played Doogie's father.

He has made guest appearances in many other popular series, such as The X-Files and The West Wing.
