Legends in 3 Dimensions logo

Legends in 3 Dimensions was formed by in 1991 by artist Greg Aronowitz in Los Angeles, California and has created a large number of licensed sculptures based upon various entertainment franchises including Marvel Comics, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Wars.

In 1996, the company was awarded licensing for the Star Trek franchise and began to produce limited edition pre-painted cold-cast resin sculptures for it. The first piece, a bust of Locutus, was sculpted with the assistance of Patrick Stewart and his cat. This was the first item released from The Captains Of Star Trek line. [1]

Ron Mendell assisted Aronowitz in creating The Ships Of Star Trek line which was sold by mail order by the Official Star Trek Fan Club and at retail by Star Trek: The Experience. Each release measured from eight to twelve inches long, and was limited to an edition of 2,500 pieces.
