Yeoman Leslie Thompson was a Starfleet crew member on the USS Enterprise, serving under Captain James T. Kirk.

Thompson was a member of the landing party that encountered the Kelvan Milky Way Expedition on a Class M unnamed planet in 2268 on stardate 4657.5. To demonstrate his power to Kirk Kelvan leader Rojan ordered Hanar to transform Thompson into a porous dehydrated cuboctahedron crystalline solid, the size of a human fist, consisting of Thompson's essential chemical elements and which represented the "distilled" essence of Thompson's being. Rojan crushed and crumbled the solid in his hands, killing Thompson. Kirk founding himself mourning her, unable to stop thinking about her destruction. (TOS: "By Any Other Name")

Thompson was played by actress Julie Cobb, who had the dubious distinction of being the only female redshirt to die in the classic series.
