Lightning is an electrical phenomena that is seen on several planets, including Earth. It is associated with thunderstorms and other phenomena, such as a volcanic eruptions.

On Vulcan, a sand fire emits lightning-like bolts of electricity. Arev was killed by a lightning discharge from a sand fire in 2154. (ENT: "The Forge")

Lieutenant Kaplan was killed by a lightning bolt, produced by Vaal, during a mission to Gamma Trianguli VI in 2267. Spock was later hit by a lightning bolt while he and Kirk approached Vaal. The bolt, which hit Spock in the back, knocked him to the ground, and resulted in a second-degree burns. (TOS: "The Apple")

The Enterprise-D encountered lightning-like bolts in a nebula while hiding from a Borg cube. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds")

Geordi La Forge and a Romulan soldier encountered what could be described as lightning on an alien planet. (TNG: "The Enemy")

During the appearance of the Dal'Rok in the Sirah's village on Bajor, lightning would be emitted from it, some striking the ground. (DS9: "The Storyteller")
