Captain Lindstrom was a male Human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century. In 2267, this decorated officer served as space command representative on Starbase 11.

That same year, Commodore Stone appointed Lindstrom, along with Captains Krasnovsky and Chandra, to the tribunal overseeing the general court martial of a fellow captain, James T. Kirk. Kirk was accused of committing perjury and culpable negligence in the apparent death of Lieutenant Commander Benjamin Finney. However, Kirk later demonstrated that Finney was in fact still alive and in hiding aboard the USS Enterprise. (TOS: "Court Martial")

Background information[]

Lindstrom was played by William Meader.

In "Court Martial", Lindstrom is introduced as a "Space Command representative", an appellation he inherited from Chandra, who was called that in the equivalent line of dialogue from the final draft and the revised final draft of the episode's script. Lindstrom wasn't at all present in those documents, as a Chinese officer named Li Chow instead fulfilled his eventual role.

Lindstrom is merely referred to as "Board Officer" in the end credits of "Court Martial", despite being named in the episode's dialogue.

Lindstrom's rank was determined by the number of pipings seen on his dress uniform.

In common with the script for "Court Martial", Lindstrom does not appear in the episode's novelization, where a Captain Li Chow fulfills the same role.
