Loquel
Loquel was an Iyaaran ambassador.
In 2370, he and fellow ambassador Byleth came aboard the USS Enterprise-D as part of a cultural exchange with the Federation. The ambassadors were assigned to study two aspects of Human emotion, with Loquel studying pleasure and Byleth studying antagonism. A third ambassador, Voval, tested Captain Jean-Luc Picard on a Class M moon in a study of love.
In his study of pleasure, Loquel participated in a tour of the Enterprise-D conducted by Counselor Deanna Troi. Because Iyaarans are born fully grown, he became fascinated by a child named Eric, a citizen aboard the starship. Intrigued by the joy which Humans experience with having children and also with their enjoyment of food, specifically sweets, Loquel invited Eric to have dessert with him.
