Voyager flies above the LA area in 1996
Los Angeles (or simply LA) was a port city on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in the United States of America. (TOS: "The Cage")
In 1996, the headquarters of Chronowerx was located in Los Angeles. Tuvok commented that the thermal and ultraviolet radiation in California, where LA was located, were at hazardous levels.
In 2047, the Hermosa Earthquake caused the region around the city to sink under 200 meters of water, creating one of the world's largest coral reefs, home to thousands of marine species. (VOY: "Future's End", "Future's End, Part II").
