Louis Hector Berlioz was a French-born 19th century Human composer who wrote and conducted several operas.

While patrolling the Romulan Neutral Zone in the USS Enterprise-E during the Battle of Sector 001, Captain Jean-Luc Picard listened to Vallon Sonore from the opera Les Troyens by Berlioz. Commander Riker entered his office and mistook it for Bizet. (Star Trek: First Contact)

In a vision of USS Voyager as Gre'thor experienced by B'Elanna Torres in 2376, The Doctor informed her that he would be performing an aria from Berlioz's The Damnation of Faust on the holodeck. (VOY: "Barge of the Dead")
