Lumar Cafe

The Lumar Cafe

The Lumar Cafe was an outdoor dining facility on the western continent of Rutia IV.

In 2366 while the USS Enterprise-D was delivering medical supplies to the government of that planet the cafe was attacked by members of the Ansata separatist movement. Several civilians were wounded in an explosion and Dr. Beverly Crusher rushed to treat the injured. Despite protests from Lieutenant Commander Data and Lieutenant Worf that the area was unsafe, Crusher refused to leave the scene. This refusal lead in part to her being taken as a hostage by the Ansata. (TNG: "The High Ground")
