M'ret

M'ret was a vice-proconsul of the Romulan Star Empire in the 2360s, one of the highest ranking officials in the Imperial Senate. In 2369, M'ret had spoken out against the repressive policies of the government and was in danger of being arrested, and so Ambassador Spock and the Romulan underground movement arranged for him and two aides to defect to the Federation.

In stasis, M'ret and two of his aides were to be transported aboard the IRW Khazara, accompanied by Deanna Troi, to a Corvallen freighter in the Kaleb sector, which would then take them to the USS Enterprise-D. However the plan went awry when the Corvallens betrayed their agreement. Troi eventually managed to transport M'ret to the Enterprise-D, which had arrived in the Kaleb sector to investigate why the Corvallens failed to make their rendezvous. (TNG: "Face of the Enemy")

M'ret was played by recurring background actor Arvo Katajisto who received no credit for his appearance.
