Maranga IV is the fourth planet in the Maranga system, located on the far side the Vodrey Nebula from the Federation border. A M-class world, it is the site of a Klingon outpost.
In 2370, the USS Enterprise-D visited Maranga IV to attend the Kot'baval Festival. While on the surface, Worf was apparently attacked by forces loyal to the House of Duras. However, the attack was actually arranged by a future version of Alexander, who had disguised himself as K'mtar with the intention of changing the past. (TNG: "Firstborn")
