Marianna Elias is a Greek-American make-up artist. She was recently the head of the second unit make-up department on 2009's Star Trek, produced and directed by J.J. Abrams. Elias previously worked for Abrams as a make-up artist on his ABC series Alias and What About Brian. [1]

Elias was born in Corinth, Greece, and raised in Stuttgart, West Germany. She later returned to Greece, where she began practicing make-up by assisting her uncle, a noted make-up artist. She later moved to Los Angeles, California, to further her career in make-up. One of her first make-up projects was the 1997 drama Men Cry Bullets, starring Star Trek: Voyager's Jeri Ryan.

In addition to Alias, Elias has done make-up for such television shows as Entourage, Close to Home, CSI: Miami, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and Shark (again working with Jeri Ryan). She even did make-up for the 75th Annual Academy Awards in 2003. Her TV work also includes commercials for such agencies as Porsche, GMC, ADIDAS, McDonald's, Burger King, Pepsi, Home Depot, UPS, Nike, Sony, Budweiser, T-Mobile, Fox Broadcasting, Buick, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Mastercard, BMW, Coca-Cola, and Microsoft.

Elias' make-up skills have been in high demand for feature films as of late. Some of her pther film make-up credits include Disturbia (2007), Enchanted (2007), Semi-Pro (2008), Meet Dave (2008, starring Eddie Murphy and Gabrielle Union), and The House Bunny (2008). She also did uncredited work for Blades of Glory (2007) and Charlie Wilson's War (2007, featuring Cyia Batten and Rachel Nichols).
