Template:Realworld Mario Scout West (born 28 February 1974; age 50) is a production assistant on Star Trek. He is also known by his alter ego, Scout Donavan, entertainment reporter and manager of "Groovy Kids Productions."

Born in the Midwest and raised in New York, New York, West's early production management credits include To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar and the Whoopi Goldberg comedy The Associate (co-starring Bebe Neuwirth). In 1997 he graduated from New York's Columbia University with a Bachelor's Associates in Marketing.[1]

West was also a production worker on such films as the acclaimed 1997 science fiction thriller Gattaca, the popular 2000 comedy Miss Congeniality (starring William Shatner), and the 2000 western All the Pretty Horses. His television credits include episodes of Law & Order and HBO's Oz, as well as the 2002 movie The Big Time, featuring John de Lancie, Christopher Lloyd and Michael Buchman Silver.
