Fossil remains of silicon-based Martian insects
The Martian insect was a silicon-based lifeform originating on the planet Mars in the Sol system. Fossils of these insects were first found in 2021, uncovered by a heavy sandstorm. The fossils were dated at several million years old. (TNG: "The Last Outpost", "Datalore")
