Crewman Mathews was a Starfleet security officer who served aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain Kirk.
In 2266, Mathews accompanied Kirk, Christine Chapel and Rayburn into the underground ruins of Exo III. The android Ruk murdered him by pushing him off a precipice. (TOS: "What Are Little Girls Made Of?")
Mathews was portrayed by Vince Deadrick.
