Mika

... as Mika

Maureen Flannigan (born 30 December 1973 in Inglewood, California) is an American actress who portrayed Mika in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Covenant".

Flannigan is perhaps best known for her role as Evie Ethel Garland in the 1980s television sitcom Out of This World. Some of this show's other regular actors were Carl Steven and Joe Alaskey. Alaskey never appeared on Star Trek, but did play an overzealous Trekker in an episode of Nurses called "Eat Something" (see: Star Trek parodies). The series aired from 1987 through 1991, during which Flannigan worked with such guest players as Claudette Nevins and Corbin Bernsen.

More recently, she had a recurring role as Shana Sullivan, the girlfriend of Matt Camden, on the WB series 7th Heaven, starring Stephen Collins and Catherine Hicks. Among the other Star Trek performers she worked with during her time on this show are Ed Begley, Jr. and Kerrie Keane.

Her other TV credits include guest appearances on Highway to Heaven, Northern Exposure, Kindred: The Embraced (starring Jeff Kober and Brian Thompson), Boston Public (starring Jeri Ryan), ER (in an episode with Richard Cox), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She was also a regular on the short-lived series Push in 1998 and a recurring guest star on the equally-short-lived Starved in 2005. She also co-starred with fellow DS9 actress Cyia Batten in the 2000 TV movie At Any Cost and with Wil Wheaton in 2003's Book of Days, while her feature film credits include National Lampoon's Last Resort (1994), Written in Blood (2002, with Dan Gauthier and Steve Rankin), and the popular 2004 comedy A Day Without a Mexican (with Brian Brophy). She more recently co-starred with Caroline Lagerfelt in the 2005 film Homecoming.
