McKenzie Project was a Starfleet project. Admiral Gregory Quinn of Starfleet Operational Support Services assigned the USS Nightwing to this project. The Nightwing was assigned to this project between the stardates 41400 and 41500. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

Information on this project was scarce, since most of the text was lost. There was the implication that the Nightwing was working with another entity, i.e. a starship or space station, since a rendezvous was mentioned. Furthermore, this project was important for the Nightwing was heading to this rendezvous at warp factor 7.
The project was named after TNG set designer Richard McKenzie.
