Mestral was a Vulcan explorer in the 20th century.
In 1957, Mestral's vessel crashlanded on Earth in Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania, a small mining town in the United States of America. He was stranded on Earth along with T'Mir, T'Pol's second foremother. When a Vulcan rescue ship came to return the group to Vulcan, Mestral refused to leave and stayed on Earth. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")
