Michael Friedman

Template:Realworld Michael Friedman (born 3 May 1948; age 75) is a former Hollywood producer and art department member hailing from Denver, Colorado, USA. He worked on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan as the lead man, the head of the "swing gang", a group responsible for the construction and demolition of sets.

He was also a lead man on films such as The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder (1974, starring Lawrence Pressman, William Lucking, and Ron Glass), Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams (1981), and Pandemonium (1982, featuring David L. Lander), as well as the television series Matlock. He was an uncredited art director on the acclaimed 1970 film MASH (starring Rene Auberjonois, Sally Kellerman, and John Schuck) and the television series Murder, She Wrote, and served as an assistant art director on the popular 1984 comedy Revenge of the Nerds (starring Bernie Casey, James Cromwell and Brian Tochi).

Friedman was an associate producer on the Oliver Stone film Seizure (featuring Richard Cox), the short-lived science fiction NBC series Project U.F.O., and Sam Peckinpah's 1978 film Convoy (starring Madge Sinclair and Seymour Cassel). His other producing credits include the 1978 film The Cheap Detective (featuring Jonathan Banks, James Cromwell, Louise Fletcher, David Ogden Stiers, Vic Tayback, Paul Williams, and cinematography by John A. Alonzo), the 1979 film Promises in the Dark (with music by Leonard Rosenman), and the 1987 TV drama Foxfire.
