Michael Mahonen (born 27 April 1964; age 59) is the former actor who played Brone in the Star Trek: Voyager fourth season episode "Nemesis". He filmed his scenes on Wednesday 18 June 1997, Friday 20 June 1997, Wednesday 25 June 1997, and Thursday 26 June 1997 on Paramount Stage 16. His costume was later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

Mahonen graduated from the Theatre Arts Program at George Brown College in 1989 and has started to appear in stage plays such as The Miracle Worker and Julius Caesar. In 1990, he was cast in the role of Gus Pike in the family series Road to Avonlea where he portrayed this character in twenty-eight episodes until 1996. This role earned him three Gemini Award nominations in the category Best Performance by a Supporting Actor/Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series in 1993, 1996, and 1997.

Other television work includes the mini series Conspiracy of Silence (1991) for which he won the Gemini Award in the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series in 1991, episodes of Katts and Dog (1991), Top Cops (1992), and Secret Service (1992, with Lori Hallier), and the television mini series By Way of the Stars (1992-1993, with John Neville). Film work includes the drama Giant Steps (1992) and the short films Personal Effects (1992) and Collateral Damage (1993).

Following his guest role in Star Trek, Mahonen also guest-starred in episodes of Viper (1997), Strong Medicine (2000, with Michael Spound and executive produced by Whoopi Goldberg), Canada: A People's History (2000), A Taste of Shakespeare (2003), and This Is Wonderland (2004) as well as in the thriller Captured (1998, with Paul Collins), the short drama An Intrigue of Manners (2001), All Hat (2007, with Keith Carradine and Stephen McHattie), the science fiction drama Blindness (2008), and the short drama Crangle's Collision (2009).

In 2009, Mahonen worked as co-producer, writer, and director on the drama Sandstorm. This feature earned him the Grand Jury Prize as Best Feature Film at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in 2004 and the Humanitarian Film Award at the Long Island International Film Expo in 2005 as well as twenty-seven further awards at various festivals.

Having not worked as an actor since 2010, Mahonen has mainly worked as screenwriter for short projects, contributing writer for "The Epoch Times", and since 2009 as president and creative writer at the production company Requisite Films.
