Lieutenant Mulcahey was a human male who served on the USS Voyager while that ship was lost in the Delta Quadrant.

In 2375 Seven of Nine, assigned Mulcahey to work on the Doctor's Mobile emitter which had been infected with nanoprobes. The assimilated emitter sampled his DNA as the template for an advanced, 29th Century Borg drone that would come to be known as One. (VOY:"Drone")

In 2376 Mulcahey was ordered to report to Astrometrics over the communication system. (VOY:"One Small Step") Later that year Torres told another engineer to "send Mulcahy, he's in deflector control" when there was work to be done that fell within his field of expertise. (VOY:"Fury")

He was also injured in this year, as he was reported to have hit his head on the ceiling when deck five's artificial gravity deactivated. This was a result of an electromagnetic life-form from a nebula that had entered Voyager and took control of the ship causing ship-wide system failures. (VOY:"The Haunting of Deck Twelve")

It would seem Mulcahey was demoted some time between (VOY:"Fury") and (VOY:"The Haunting of Deck Twelve") as he was refered to as Ensign in this episode.

In 2377, he was brainwashed by the Quarren after they irradiated Voyager and forced the evacuation of its crew. He, along with most of the rest of the crew spent approximately three weeks in the largest city on Quarra, their memories were altered and they were unaware that they had been kidnapped. On Quarra he worked in a fusion reactor with Tal Celes and he didn't recognize Neelix. (VOY:"Workforce, Part II")

Lieutenant Mulcahey was played by Todd E. Babcock
